– have you ever been in a codependent (but platonic) relationship with a roommate? my moment of realization hit when explaining to people who didn’t know my roommate nor my living situation that I had to go watch my roommate’s kid so she could go to work. ya know, so we could both afford rent/other expenses. figuring out that not everyone did this for their single-parent roommate was eye opening.
– is there a minimum amount of time to find out a housemate isn’t a good fit? is it better to give it a go or just give it the ol’ “yeah, nah….” at the first sign of bad juju?

– there has been debate over the years about removing andrew jackson from the american twenty dollar bill. his stances on slavery and treatment of native american people is reprehensible. there were talks that harriet tubman would replace jackson on the twenty, but it now looks as if that won’t happen. thoughts?
